Your calculator data
Amounts, college names, ratings, weights, and comparison entries are stored in your browser’s local storage for up to 30 days. The tools do not submit this data to Rochester Higher Ed or an external calculation service.
Hosting data
Our hosting provider may process standard technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, browser details, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on these tools.
If you email us, we receive the address, message, and information you choose to include. Do not send sensitive student records or account credentials. We use email to respond and manage legitimate support, privacy, and security needs.
Your choices
You can clear local tool data by clearing the calculator, removing colleges, or deleting site data in your browser. Download or print a copy first if you want to keep it.
Children and students
These planning tools are intended for general educational use. Do not enter sensitive student records. A parent, guardian, counselor, or other trusted adult can help younger users evaluate official cost information.
